Certification requirements:
Bachelors degree or higher in any field with:
- At least 5 years of working experience in factories and/or buildings; and
- At least 2 years of working experience in a supervisory and/or managerial role
Or higher vocational certification or higher with:
- At least 7 years of working experience in factories and/or buildings; and
- At least 4 years of working experience in a supervisory and/or managerial role
Certification procedures:
1. Coordinate with your Country Coordinator. For listing, check under the Project Partners in the AEMAS Stakeholders menu.
2. Submit the requirements mentioned above to your Country Expert/Coordinator for assessment.
3. Wait for the result of assessment of your application.
4. If accepted, take the training and test administered by Local Trainers.
5. Wait for results after 2 weeks.
Certification requirements:
Certified energy professional as certified by national certification program (for countries with energy certification system)
Or :
- Must be an AEMAS Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Must submit for approval 2 Integrated Energy Management Plan (IEMP) and must pass the interview of the country experts/country coordinators.
Certification procedures:

2. Submit the requirements mentioned above to your Country Expert/Coordinator for assessment.
3. Wait for the result of assessment of your application.
4. If accepted, take the training and test administered by Local Trainers.
5. Wait for results after 2 weeks.
2. Additional desirable qualifications:
- Master Degree in energy, engineering management , industrial engineering or MBA;
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a supervisory and/or managerial role;
- Minimum of 3 years consulting experience in energy, business management and relevant technical fields;
- Able to demonstrate successful implementation of at least 2 energy management projects in industries and/or buildings;
- Sound knowledge and experience in implementing any ISO standard as a member of working team or steering committee;
- Experience in a role in QMR (ISO 9000), EMR (ISO14000) is preferable.
Certification procedures:

2. Submit the qualifications mentioned above to your Country Expert/Coordinator for assessment.
3. Wait for the result of assessment of your application.
4. If accepted, take the training and test administered by Country Experts.
5. Wait for results after 2 weeks.
Certification procedures:
1. Submit CV to the Country Coordinator.
2. Interview by country experts (optional).
3. Attend AEMAS Energy Manager Training Course, pass the test to become CEM.
4. Country Coordinator and/or experts will provide the certification package documents:
- Certification criteria and procedure
- Audit report form
- Certification process
5. Certified auditor will be registered and become AEMAS auditor.
Remarks: Certified auditors will be monitored and evaluated annually based on their performance by the country coordinator and country experts.
To be certified under AEMAS, energy end-users (companies or organizations) will be evaluated on their energy management performance based on the level of fulfillment to the following aspects:
